The President’s Society is comprised of donors that uphold Íò²©¹ÙÍø’s longstanding mission and invest in its future through a $1,500+ gift to the university each fiscal year, which takes place July 1 – June 30. The President’s Society encourages and strengthens the engagement of individuals and organizations in the Íò²©¹ÙÍø community. It also provides steady annual giving to strengthen Íò²©¹ÙÍø. In additional, the generosity of these donors makes it possible to fulfill Íò²©¹ÙÍø’s mission and continue to provide students with learning opportunities and resources in a Christ-centered environment.
In 2017, Cumberland School of Law launched the Bishop Society, named for long-time professor and dean, Thomas Brad Bishop ’61, J.D. ’71. Since its inception, the purpose of the Bishop Society has been to collectively gather contributions to provide scholarship support and public interest fellowships to deserving law students, upgrade technology and law school facilities, support the preparation and travel of Cumberland’s trial and other teams, and support faculty research. Thanks to Professor Bishop’s generosity of spirit and dedication to Cumberland, and member contributions, the Bishop Society will continue to support aspiring legal students to attend Cumberland School of Law and thrive in their law school experiences.
Donors who generously support Íò²©¹ÙÍø with a planned gift are honored through the 1841 Society. The 1841 Society is a devoted group of donors who make a gift through their will or trust, beneficiary designations, life insurance, appreciated securities, property, and other assets.
